We love the German Wirehaired Pointer breed. Our wirehairs all have great dispositions and have been family raised around children, with lots of love and attention. We breed and whelp our wirehair pups on our farm in southwest Minnesota and our home in northern Illinois. We train them regularly and they hunt often. We train and hunt with our dogs in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.
Prairie Fire’s Canadian Wild Rye					Rye has excellent furnishings and a loving disposition that draws in family and friends of all ages. He is a hardworking one-year old who is retrieving and clearly loves to hunt. He was sired in July 2017 from our stud Harley so has champion blood lines. Inquire about stud services
Prairie Fire’s Prairie Dock					Dock has excellent furnishings, has a really nice disposition, and hunts very well. He was sired from our Stud Sammy so has champion blood lines. As with all our dogs, he is great with people of all ages. His hips are OFA certified good. Inquire about stud services
Prairie Fire’s Cosmo Vogel Jager					Cosmo has excellent furnishings and has a very strong hunting drive. As with all our dogs, he has a great disposition and is good with people of all ages. He was bred from Champion bloodlines. His hips are OFA certified good. Inquire about stud services
Afterhours Harley’s A Rebel					Harley is an incredible bird dog. He has excellent furnishings and is tall and lean. As with all our dogs, he has a great disposition and is good with people of all ages. He is bred from Champion blood lines. Inquire about stud services
(Prairie Fire’s Sunset) 2005-2011					Champ was whelped from Prairie Fire’s Rising Moon and Prairie Fire’s Tomah. He had a great disposition and loved people. He hunted hard and close. He was bred from Champion bloodlines. He will be sadly missed.
(Wilson’s Sure Shot Sampson) 2003-2017					Sam was directly out of a National Field Champion. He had a great disposition. He was an excellent hunter. He loved people. His hips were OFA certified good.
